HAND DRUMS

Hand drums are shallow tom-tom built with wooden frames made from bent wood or assembled sections.
When the frame is finished, the wet rawhide is stretched over one or both sides of the hoop and laced to

the frame. Historically, hand drums were an essential part of spiritual ceremonies for vision, power, celebration,

and healing.
Single or double-headed, plain, or painted, the hand drums are a popular choice for playing or displaying because

of their manageable size (just 2 to 4 inches deep) and the strong, full sound they emit.
Hand drums are ordered by the diameter measurement, and style of the drum.
